  19651月生,研究员,博士生导师。主要方向为环境微生物学。19857月四川大学生物系毕业,19888月中国科学院水生生物研究所硕士毕业,同年分配在中国科学院水生生物研究所藻类学研究室,19937月开始在日本留学,19983月取得筑波大学理学博士;19984月至19996月于日本国立环境研究所作博士后研究;19997月到20014月于美国赖特州立大学生物系博士后研究;20015月至200312月 美国弗吉尼亚理工和州立大学生物化学系作博士后研究;200312月至2005 9 月 美国田纳西大学微生物系高级研究员。20059月 回国受聘于中国科学院水生生物研究所研究员,成立有害藻类生物学学科组。现任水生所藻类研究中心主任,担任国际藻类杂志Phycologia副主编,Journal of Systematics and Evolution的副主编,《应用与环境生物学报》编委等。
