博士,研究员,博士生导师。2009年获美国西弗吉尼亚大学博士学位; 2009-2010年在美国多芬岛海洋所、美国国家海洋与大气局、美国国家河口研究保护区做博士后研究;2010-2014年在美国阿肯色大学渔业中心任助理教授,讲授本科生和研究生湖沼学、河流生态学、水质管理等课程,带领研究团队先后主持和参与由美国国家环保总局(US EPA)、美国农业部(USDA)、美国地质调查局(USGS)、美国航空航天局(NASA)及阿肯色州政府(State of Arkansas)等资助的课题,主要研究美国中阿巴拉契亚山区、北墨西哥湾和密西西比河流域人类活动干扰下水质、鱼类等水生生物群落和生态系统健康,以及美国南方水产养殖系统的优化和生态系统管理等。2014年底受聘为中国科学院水生生物研究所”百人计划”研究员,受中国科学院等单位资助,目前主要研究气候变化和人类活动干扰下长江流域水生态系统健康和水生生物资源可持续利用、以及南水北调东线工程的生态环境效应和水质安全保障研究。在美国渔业学会(AFS)、美国淡水科学学会(SFS)、美国科学研究会(Sigma Xi)及中华海外生态学者协会(Sino-Eco)等国际学术组织和团体担任职务,作为长江-密西西比河流域长期研究网络和国际研讨会系列(MYRIBS)的主要联络人。
